Born in 1960 in the city of Mechelen, Belgium, Luc Mercelis studied analog photography at the Technicum School in Antwerp. He started his career as desktop publisher in various printing studios, creating books, magazines or flyers. He was always passionate about photography, especially car racing photography. With the rise of digital, Luc found a new interest in street and city photography. He’s elected Paris, for its charm and enormous scenery potential to fully deploy his skills. He currently lives in Belgium where he’s married with three children, Carmen, Christo and Kirsten.
